Wheelchair tennis is about more than sport—it’s about opportunity, representation, and community. At Adaptive Athletics, our weekly clinics at Gold River Sports Club bring all of that together.

New players get coaching and structure. Veterans get high-quality reps and competitive sets. And everyone gets a space where wheelchair tennis is visible, respected, and growing.

Personally, I started tennis nine months ago, and with consistent Friday-night training alongside Coach Marty, Alycia, Phil, and Marcus, I went from learning the fundamentals to earning first place in my division. That kind of progress happens when the right environment meets the right mentorship—and when coaches like Marty donate their time to build something bigger than themselves.

Gold River is a great place to train, the athletes are solid, and the culture is all about growth. If you’ve ever thought about trying wheelchair tennis, come join us. The momentum is real—and it’s only getting stronger.

Mark, I really appreciate this—thank you. Watching your progress over the last nine months has been incredible, and it’s a testament to the work you’ve put in and the consistency you bring every Friday night. The environment only works because athletes like you buy into it and push each other. I’m grateful to be part of a group that cares about growing the game the right way, and I’m excited to see what’s next for you and for the program. The momentum is definitely real—and we’re just getting started.
