Covid-19 caused millions of deaths, closed businesses and schools, and caused the cancellation, suspension, and postponement programs, events, and activities around the world, including school, community, and professional sports. People had to social distance and wear masks. Looking back, in 1918, the world faced the Influenza Pandemic. In both cases, those with a disability and senior citizens had it the hardest.
So why not be better prepared to play together in person during the next pandemic by having a Global Pandemic Ready Adaptable Sports Peace Project where the world unites to create new sports and modifies current sports for play now and during the next pandemic to help with emotional, mental, spiritual, physical, and economic wellbeing, while moving PEACE forward? It can be done.
I was able to create over 10 Pandemic Ready Sports / Physical Activities, some adaptable and some only on paper. One Pandemic Rady Sports was created with less than $25 worth of used material and equipment and took less than one hour without the use of any technology.
As society worries about “screen time”, a Global Pandemic Ready Adaptable Sports Peace Project without any screens or technology for the first hour can help people tap into their creativity, talent, ideas, knowledge, ability, and life experiences. This could help build hope and encouragement. This should help schools and communities.
It can be done.

I had cancer and I donated a kidney. Those times of little exercise / playing sports reminded me how important it is to appreciate each day and the limits we do have, while trying to figure out what we can do, to include ways of helping others.
