The Hauts de France Regional Handisport Committee was created during the General Assembly on June 23, 2018 . It was born from the merger-absorption of CRH Picardie by CRH Nord-Pas de Calais.

Association emanating from the French Handisport Federation , it is the unifying and advisory body of the regional Handisport movement.

From this merger, no less than 136 disabled sports clubs or sections affiliated with the French Handisport Federation and more than 1,800 disabled sports licenses, spread over the 5 departments of Nord, Pas de Calais, Somme, Oise and the Aisne.

Its main objective is to make physical and sports practice accessible to as many people as possible for people with physical, visual and hearing disabilities . The Committee is the guarantor of the proper functioning of the sport for these people.

We have as duties in particular to welcome in good conditions our sportsmen, who must be able to benefit from all the assets necessary for their success. It is for this reason that we draw up a program of activities intended to pursue the actions that emanate from our development plan each sporting season.

Through 30 leisure, competition and outdoor disciplines, the Regional Handisport Committee and its structures offer a project for each licensee adapted to his pathology, his needs and his desires.

His skills are many and varied and revolve around 4 axes:

Define an accessible and progressive competitive practice offer for everyone (from the new practitioner to the confirmed licensee, regardless of the level of disability, integrating the issues of access to equipment, safety and classification, from the departmental level to the regional)
Promote, develop and structure sports practice in Hauts de France in order to allow our licensees to practice in the best conditions: structures, supervision, training, sports equipment. Accompany clubs by helping them to structure and develop.
Train professionals in the psychopedagogical aspects related to disabilities, pathologies likely to be encountered, the disabled sports movement and sports disciplines for the physically and visually handicapped
Facilitate the development of athletes with disabilities, support high-level athletes who represent sporting excellence.
In order to deepen its projects, its objectives and to give a new dimension to its sports policy, the Hauts de France Regional Handisport Committee relies on a Regional Technical Team made up of experts in their discipline. The main objective being to support the various regional teams, athletes and detection.
