The Iowa Amputee Golf Association was formed in 1992 to promote the love of the game of golf and fellowship among amputees. Amputees from all over come to participate in the three day event. It is an enjoyable weekend of great friends, food, and golf. The weekend begins with an 18-hole four person best shot on Friday afternoon followed by the tournament on Saturday and Sunday (18-holes each day). Saturday evening is the board meeting followed by the banquet where everyone gets to choose a door prize, scholarship winners are announced, along with final round pairings for Sunday. .
Skill levels of golfers vary widely with scores ranging from 70 to 150. No matter what the skill level, everyone has a great time. Players are broken up into a number of different flights including: arm, leg, multiple, and senior. No matter what your skill level, all are welcome and encouraged to come play in the fun filled weekend.
