The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement and the organization responsible for overseeing the Paralympic Games and supporting the growth of Para sport worldwide. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Bonn, Germany, the IPC works with more than 200 member organizations including National Paralympic Committees, International Federations, and regional sport organizations.

The IPC’s mission is to lead the Paralympic Movement, support athletes with disabilities in achieving sporting excellence, and use sport as a platform to promote inclusion and opportunity for people with disabilities around the world. Through the Paralympic Games and international Para sport competitions, the IPC helps showcase elite athletic performance while advancing a vision of a more inclusive world through sport.
