The Departmental Handisport Committee is an internal body of the French Handisport Federation (FFH), and is affiliated to it like all its members. Its purpose is the practice of physical and sporting activities specific to people with physical and visual disabilities.
The Departmental Handisport Committee aims to:
The organization, development, coordination and control of the practice of physical and sports activities on its territory.
The training and development of administrative executives, technical and sports executives, volunteers, judges and referees in sports disciplines.
The representation of associations, members, with the public authorities, departmental sports organizations and the defense of their interests, moral and material.
The development of links between sports associations in order to allow a better understanding between their members.
Encouraging the creation of new sports associations as well as their promotion.
