Wheelchair Tennis Tournament
Annual Single Day
First come, first served. Space is limited.
Each draw will consist of up to 8 teams and each team will have a wheelchair player (down) and an able bodied player (up). See divisions above. After registering, you will be contacted to verify if you are playing as the Up or the Down position.
No USTA membership required for this event, however, a USTA account is required. Go onto usta.com and click “join” and fill out the information to create an account This is your USTA ID, no membership purchase necessary. Polar Doubles Up/Down Tournament on February 18, 2023, a Wheel Serve North Carolina event, will have three divisions:
Coed A - 3.5 and over wheelchair players.
Coed B - 2.5 to 3.0 wheelchair players, max 4.0 for able bodied players.
Coed C - Beginner wheelchair players, max 3.5 for able bodied players.
Come with a partner or we will find one for you.
Round robin play, guarantee of two matches, best of three short sets to 4, no ad scoring, with a 7 pt tiebreak in place of the third set, 5pt set tiebreak at 3-3 or one set to 6, no ad scoring depending on flight. Playoff for each division if necessary.
First come, first served.
Matches will start promptly at 11:00, however, players are encouraged to arrive at 10:15 for check in and warm ups.
We will play in the covered courts at Cary Tennis Park so we will play regardless of rain, snow or cold!
