Dee has been instrumental in providing access to the sport of tennis for players in wheelchairs and players with unique abilities for decades. Dee is renown in the Southern California tennis scene as the former women’s tennis coach at Biola University where she hosted her programs for many years. Since her retirement from Biola she has moved her programs to the La Mirada Community Tennis Association where she continues her tireless work in adaptive and wheelchair tennis.

Dee’s program is truly unique, and her program provides instruction for recreational players, as well as highly competitive athletes. Dee is responsible for introducing many new players to the game and has seen her programs make huge development in others. Dee’s program has trained several nationally ranked players whose “first serve” was at Biola, including Eddie Medel, Vicki Sarantakos, Jimmy Sutandar, Mike Janssen, and Kevin Conrad. Eddie and Vicki have also competed in the USTA/ITA National Collegiate Wheelchair Championship. Dee has provided a consistent and reliable clinic that attracts a large number of players on a regular basis.
